Dr Gracy Gouda has a vast experience in skin examination and skin cancer detection and management as well as women’s health. During the last fifteen years Dr Gouda has worked both overseas and in Australia both in general practice and specialised women health and IVF clinics. Her passion to serve in a rural area lead to her to further sub-specialize in skin cancer studies. She has completed full time courses in diagnosis and management (both medical and surgical) of melanoma, basal cell cancer, squamous cell cancer, sarcomas, etc.
Services include :
Skin cancer check through the latest technology is digital dermoscopy ( lenses that magnifies up to 70 X). After diagnosis a comprehensive management programme includes cancer treatment in the form of excisions (simple excisions, skin flaps and grafts)
Children check up.
ECG (heart check up).
Spirometry (lung function test).
Mental health care and counselling.
Chronic disease management and general health assessment.
General preventative health issues.
Antenatal care, Pap smears and STD checks.
Family planning including implanon and Mirena (intrauterine device) insertion and removal.
Sports medicine, plaster of fractures, nail wedge resection of ingrown toe nails.
This is undertaken by Fotofinder Digital dermoscopy, one of the latest technologies in the filed of skin examination. It utilises optic fibres and can magnify up to 70x which enables sound diagnosis of the condition. This examination is highly specialised and detection a lot of features of a mole including pigmentation, symmetry, vascularity, abnormal features etc.
Skin check appointments are undertaken currently on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The rest of the week is for general practice and for procedures.
Please phone our rooms every day on weekdays at 8:30 to book appointments if you have not done that already while in the surgery. It is of great assistance if you let the receptionist know whether your appointment is for skin check up , vaccination , pap smear, a full medical, ECG, etc. .

We try our best to accommodate in particular emergency appointments. Please contact the surgery and state the nature of the emergency. Our experienced staff in triage will then advise if your emergency can be handled at the rooms or it needs hospital attention. Also after hours care is provided by the GP after Hours clinic at 1/185 Morgan Street Mon –Fri 6:30-9:30 pm, Sat 4:30-8:30pm, Sun 8:30-12:30noon and 4:30-8:30pm.

Our practice is provided with this fantastic service –Tyro- where your medicare rebate is directly deposited back into your account if you have paid by Masterdard, Visa, Check or Saving.
For all claims whether bulkbilled or private please ensure that you have signed your medicare slip.
HCC holders, pensioners, university students with a valid HCC and patients under 16 years of age are all bulkbilled except for skin cancer specialised appointments. Veterans affairs are bulk billed for all appointments including skin checks.
The AMA fee structure forms the basis of our billing policy including workcover and is displayed in the reception area of the surgery together with a copy of our fees structure. If you have any difficulty in paying our fees please discuss it with us.
The practice is disabled- and child-friendly with special onsite disabled parking ramp, self-retaining doors, sensor-operated light and suction in the toilets. Also signs make it easier for you to find your way. Also you can always find your way from the small surgery plan displayed at reception and in the waiting area.
Also the disabled toilet is fitted with a wall-mounted changing table. Please let your children enjoy their designated waiting area.
The remote control of the TV and the air conditioning split-unit are located on the shelf in the waiting area.

Our doctor will advise when they expect results to arrive at the practice. Call your doctor to find out your results and ask what they mean for your care.
Our practice is committed to preventative care. Your doctor will seek your permission for you to be included in our reminder system. We may issue you with a reminder note for skin follow up appointments or other preventative health issues. Please notify us if you do not want any reminders to be sent to you.
Home visits are available for the regular patients of this practice whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery. Please ring the surgery to talk to the doctors who will advise you regarding the best way to go about your current health condition as what you may think is a minor issue that can wait might b e a critical situation where you need to contact an ambulance on 000.
Also long appointments area available and need to be booked in advance and the reason for the length of the appointment to be notified to the receptionist at the time of making the appointment, example procedures, multiple issues in the same visit(normally two short issues can be handled in one appointments),etc.
As we endeavour to take all phone calls and deal with them promptly, situations might arise when the doctor might be busy with another patient and cannot take your call.
Our receptionists will always leave a message to the doctor who will then get back to you ASAP.
It is the policy of this practice to keep all documents highly confidential at all times. This in particular applies to your medical information. Upon your signed consent documents can be released to a third party at Power of Attorney, Insurance Companies, Work-cover or the specialist involved in your care.
Transfer of records is available after completing transfer of records form and finalising management fees for the transfer.
